Job summary

IKM Consultants AS seeks a capable professional for offshore completion and commissioning of topside equipment. You will perform MC follow-up, verify installations against P&IDs and ISO drawings, and support testing, verification, and documentation.

The role requires strong communication, collaboration with operations, and duty rotations offshore. Candidate should have at least 3 years in Oil & Gas, a skilled worker certification or equivalent, and the ability to read P&IDs and ISO drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical construction, project completion, or operations.
• Able to read P&IDs and ISO drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform completion and commissioning activities for topside equipment.
• Assist with testing, verification, and documentation.
• Conduct MC follow-up and punch-out of defined packages.
• Prepare valve & blind lists and verify.
• Execute commissioning on assigned systems.
• Verify field installations meet design specs and P&IDs/ISO drawings.
• Participate in system check-outs and walk-downs.
• Assist with handover to operations and ensure safety.
• Maintain clear communication between operations, maintenance, contractors and suppliers.

Job description

• -Perform Completion and Commissioning activities related to fabrication and system testing of topside equipment.
• -Assist with testing, verification, and documentation processes.
• -Conduct Mechanical Completion (MC) follow-up and punch-out of defined packages.
• -Prepare, set, and/or verify Valve & Blind lists.
• -Execute commissioning activities on dedicated systems as assigned.
• -Verify that field installations are constructed according to design specifications, P&IDs, and ISO drawings.
• -Participate in system check-outs, verifications, and walk-downs.
• -Contribute to the safe and efficient handover of systems to the operations team.
• -Ensure effective communication between operations, maintenance, contractors, and suppliers.

Required expertise

• -Certification as a skilled worker or equivalent education and experience.
• -A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• -A proven track record in mechanical construction, project completion, or operational roles.
• -Familiarity with Project Completion Systems (e.g., PIMS) and document management systems.
• -Ability to read and understand P&IDs and ISO drawings.
• -Experience from offshore operations or maintenance teams is a significant advantage.
• -Self-motivated with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Language: English and Norwegian (written and verbal)
• Location: Stord, Norway (with periods of offshore rotation)
• Work schedule: Full-time, shift work including possible night shifts.
• Duration: Fixed-term assignment from October 2026 to July 2027.
