Job summary

Dovre Solutions is seeking a Senior Commissioning Lead for telecommunication systems on a major project in Stord, Norway. You will plan, prepare, and execute commissioning activities and ensure a safe handover to the Asset Operations team.

With 10+ years in Oil & Gas and NORSOK project experience, you will lead a cross‑functional team, manage risks, and ensure HSSE, schedule, quality and costs targets while coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience leading commissioning teams in Oil & Gas projects.
• Strong planning, estimation and execution capability for MC activities.
• Knowledge of NORSOK project requirements is a major plus.

Position Purpose

• System responsible for ensuring planning, preparation and execution of commissioning for designated systems in a safe, efficient and timely manner according to Project Completion Strategy and commissioning plans and ensure they meet all the company's project and operational requirements, including verification and assurance.
• Accountable for ensuring the safe and efficient handover of plant and equipment to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.
• Contribute in the preparation phase with review and verification of documentation and drawings that are relevant to MC and Commissioning of designated systems.
• Estimation and planning of commissioning scope of work onshore and offshore for designated systems, including input to plan.
• Able to work independently to plan and execute MC follow-up and commissioning activities.
• Participate in MC punch outs and FATs at supplier sites.
• Deliver input and update progress into project completion system PIMS.
• Develop, review, and implementation of commissioning procedures.
• Coordinate and Interact with different departments and disciplines to ensure efficient execution of commissioning with high focus on HSSE.
• Identify and follow up risks and opportunities related to commissioning.
• Plan and call off ATS as and when required.
• Manage assistance personnel from contractors and other resources providing services
• Ensure spare parts and special tools are available prior to execution of commissioning activities.
• Plan and ensure first fills are available in timely fashion and perform first fills.
• Provide leadership to ensure that a high level of focus is maintained on health, safety, and the environment to achieve the company's expectations.
• Plan and coordinate commissioning assistance and support as required.
• Participate in discipline MC punch rounds at sites for designated systems.
• Plan and execute commissioning activities in a timely manner based on Commissioning plan.
• Ensure a smooth transition from Project to Operation.
• Participate in pre-start-up and performance test reviews as necessary.

Education

• BSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
• MSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.

Essential experience and job requirements

• Experience from NORSOK projects.
• System-based commissioning knowledge and understanding
• Track record of delivery in the Oil & Gas industry for the Norwegian Continental Shelf and able to demonstrate effective system commissioning skills are a major advantage.
• Familiarity with Project Completions Systems and document management systems. Experience with PIMS is an advantage.
• Ability to engage and lead a team of commissioning engineers & technicians to achieve timely execution of commissioning activities.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
