Job summary

Head Energy Group is seeking a Commissioning Engineer for Process/Utility to lead completion and commissioning of topside equipment, including valve lists, CPCRs and system handovers. The role involves offshore/offshore-rotation work, with potential night shifts and LEAN-driven efficiency goals.

English and Norwegian language proficiency are required to collaborate across operation and maintenance teams. The incumbent will review P&IDs, participate in walk-downs, and ensure documentation aligns

Qualifications

• Skilled worker or related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience from offshore in either operations or maintenance team is advantageous.
• Track record of mechanical construction, completion or operational experience in Oil & Gas.
• Familiarity with Project Completion Systems (PIMS) and document management systems.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform completion and commissioning activities as instructed by the Commissioning SRE.
• Coordinate with SRE and MC/Commissioning team to verify installations per design/ISO/P&IDs.
• Prepare, verify Valve & Blind lists and complete CPCRs.
• Participate in planning meetings and hand-overs (RFOC) with operations.
• Ensure effective communication between operations, maintenance, contractors and suppliers.

Job Description

• The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for performing Completion and Commissioning activities as instructed by the Commissioning System Responsible Engineers (SRE) related to the fabrication and system testing of topside equipment.
• This position requires flexibility and periods as commuter or rotation at Stord/offshore to be expected. Possible night shift.
• Prepare, set and/or verify Valve & Blind lists
• Complete CPCRs
• Execution of Commissioning activities assigned by the Comm SRE on dedicated systems
• Verify Construction Field installations are according to design/ISO/P&IDs in collaboration with Commissioning SRE or others in MC/Commissioning team.
• Knowledge/knowledge of reading/understanding P&IDs and ISOs
• Participate in check-out, verification (Walk Down/Yellow line) according to the RFCC (Ready for Commissioning Certificate) Hand-Over Process
• Participate in meetings for planning Commissioning activities.
• According to good Alliance practice, ensure effective communication between operation, maintenance, contractors, and suppliers
• Reporting to the Commissioning SRE regarding ongoing Commissioning activities
• Assist with the collection of documentation related to RFOC (Ready for Operations Certificate) Hand-over according to the System Lead’s instructions
• Assist related ATS (Agreement for Technical Services) and other resources.
• Assist the Commissioning System Responsible (SRE) or other personnel in the Commissioning team[s] [/s]with regards to testing, verification and documentation.
• MC follow-up and punch-out of defined packages
• Contribute to ensure timely completion of commissioning activities in accordance with commissioning plans and requirements, while also meeting all client’s project and operational requirements
• Contribute to the safe and efficient handover of relevant systems to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.
