Job summary

Erithy, a Norwegian energy consultancy, is seeking a Commissioning Engineer - Process/Utility for a project based in Stord/Offshore. The role involves completing and commissioning activities for topside equipment, with possible night shifts and commuter rotations.

You will prepare valve lists, execute commissioning tasks, verify field installations against P&IDs and ISO/P&IDs, and support handovers to Operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in oil & gas commissioning or operations.
• Offshore experience in operations or maintenance is beneficial.
• Track record in mechanical construction, completion, or operations delivery in Oil & Gas.
• Familiarity with Project Completion Systems, PIMS, and document management systems.
• Proficient English and Norwegian language skills (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Perform Completion and Commissioning activities as instructed by the SRE related to fabrication and system testing of topside equipment.
• Prepare, set and verify Valve & Blind lists.
• Execute commissioning activities assigned by the Comm SRE on dedicated systems.
• Verify Construction Field installations against design/ISO/P&IDs with the team.
• Participate in planning meetings for commissioning activities.
• Ensure effective communication between operation, maintenance, contractors and suppliers.
• Assist with RFOC hand-over documentation and related resources.
• Contribute to timely completion of commissioning activities and handover to Asset Operations.

Erithy, previously known as Be Better Contractors, specializes in the design and construction of sustainable subsea infrastructure globally.

We deliver consultancy services within the oil and gas industry, high voltage cables, biogas and hydrogen, as well as civil engineering services and project administration.

Created in 2017, Erithy has grown into a consultancy team made up of various profiles from Europe, South America and the Middle East, working on projects across Norway.

We are now looking for a Commissioning Engineer - Process/Utility for one of our customers based in Stord/Offshore.

Duration: 01.10.2026 - 01.07.2027

Responsibilities:

• The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for performing Completion and Commissioning activities as instructed by the Commissioning System Responsible Engineers (SRE) related to the fabrication and system testing of topside equipment.

• This position requires flexibility and periods as commuter or rotation at Stord/offshore to be expected. Possible night shift.

• Prepare, set and/or verify Valve & Blind lists

• Complete CPCRs

• Execution of Commissioning activities assigned by the Comm SRE on dedicated systems

• Verify Construction Field installations are according to design/ISO/P&IDs in collaboration with Commissioning SRE or others in MC/Commissioning team.

• Knowledge/knowledge of reading/understanding P&IDs and ISOs

• Participate in check-out, verification (Walk Down/Yellow line) according to the RFCC (Ready for Commissioning Certificate) Hand-Over Process

• Participate in meetings for planning Commissioning activities.

• According to good Alliance practice, ensure effective communication between operation, maintenance, contractors, and suppliers

• Reporting to the Commissioning SRE regarding ongoing Commissioning activities

• Assist with the collection of documentation related to RFOC (Ready for Operations Certificate) Hand-over according to the System Lead's instructions

• Assist related ATS (Agreement for Technical Services) and other resources.

• Assist the Commissioning System Responsible (SRE) or other personnel in the Commissioning team with regards to testing, verification and documentation.

• MC follow-up and punch-out of defined packages

• Contribute to ensure timely completion of commissioning activities in accordance with commissioning plans and requirements, while also meeting all client's project and operational requirements

• Contribute to the safe and efficient handover of relevant systems to the Asset Operations team upon completion of commissioning activities.

Requirements:

• Skilled worker or a related field or equivalent education / experience.

• Experience from offshore in either operations or maintenance team is of great benefit.

• Track record of mechanical construction, completion or operational experience and delivery in the Oil & Gas industry.

• Familiarity with Project Completion Systems, PIMS and document management systems

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

• Good knowledge of the English and Norwegian languages (both written and verbal)
