Job summary

Motive Offshore Group is recruiting an Area Manager for Bergen, Norway. You will lead the local operation, drive safety and compliance, and manage budgets while growing revenue with regional clients.

You will collaborate with Stavanger and UK teams to leverage group capabilities and win new work. Fluent Norwegian and English are required, with strong leadership and stakeholder skills.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in a managerial role.
• Significant offshore energy or marine operations background.
• Knowledge of NDT/Inspection market and applications.
• Experience with budget / P&L responsibility.
• Track record in business development and Norwegian client wins.
• Familiar with Norwegian offshore regulations and standards (NORSOK).
• Fluent Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
• Strong communication and negotiation with clients at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Promote Motive values and act as ambassador for the Bergen site.
• Line manage Bergen personnel: recruitment, reviews, development, absence.
• Mentor the Bergen team and design/deliver training as needed.
• Lead by example on HSEQ and sustainability in line with policy.
• Report accidents, incidents and environmental concerns promptly.
• Develop and deliver an annual Bergen business plan with Group goals.
• Manage Bergen budget, revenue and margin targets; report performance.
• Lead regional business development with operators and partners.
• Build relationships with key client decision makers in Norway.
• Prepare quotations/tenders; negotiate pricing within authority.
• Maintain accurate Salesforce opportunities and pipeline.
• Oversee Bergen location facilities, equipment and workload planning.
• Ensure delivery of projects on schedule and within budget.
• Ensure documentation, certs and test reports are complete.
• Coordinate with Stavanger, UK and other locations; travel as needed.
