Job summary

Nscale is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead the design process for the Stargate Norway initiative. Based on-site in Narvik, you will ensure world‑class standards, on‑schedule delivery, budget adherence, and scalable high‑density AI compute facilities.

You will collaborate with construction, cost management, in‑country delivery teams, and technology partners to translate concepts into robust designs using BIM workflows and modern MEP systems.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design in data centre or mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of high-density power and infrastructure.
• Excellent collaboration across teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end design lifecycle from concept to construction drawings.
• Review packages for code compliance, constructability and performance.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align design with objectives.
• Involvement in permitting with local consultants.
• Design facilities for advanced compute clusters and liquid cooling.
• Manage design deliverables and BIM-based workflows.
• Maintain schedules and documentation workflows.
