Job summary

Capstone Recruitment UK is seeking a Design Manager for data centres in Norway. You will lead end-to-end design from post-concept through detailed design, construction, and integration, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to meet programme and contractual requirements.

You will manage external consultants, ensure regulatory compliance, and own BIM and design coordination processes to deliver buildable, timely information for construction teams.

Qualifications

• Proven design leadership across complex projects.
• Experience coordinating architectural, structural and MEP disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Experience with BIM processes and design integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design from post-concept to detailed design and construction.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design packages for full integration.
• Manage design teams: resource planning, mentoring and performance.
• Oversee external consultants and authorities; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Own BIM processes, clash detection, and design information flow.
• Chair design workshops and coordination meetings to optimise buildability.
• Support construction delivery with accurate, timely design information.
