Job summary

Nscale in Glomfjord, Norway, is seeking a Network Operations Center (NOC) Manager to lead a 24/7/365 team responsible for monitoring, incident response, and reliability of our data center. You will drive process improvements and oversee BMS systems, coordinating with facilities to ensure uptime and efficiency.

The role requires 4+ years in NOC leadership and 6+ years in technical infrastructure, with a Bachelor’s degree and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of leadership experience in a NOC, TAC, or critical data center environment.
• 6+ years hands-on experience in network engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 24/7/365 Network Operations Centre team with recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Oversee continuous monitoring of network infrastructure, servers, and critical data center systems (BMS, UPS, generators, HVAC).
• Act as primary escalation point for Tier 3+ incidents; coordinate cross-functional teams and drive RCA and corrective actions.
• Develop and enforce SOPs, runbooks, monitoring standards, escalation procedures, and incident response workflows.
• Coordinate with Facilities, mechanical/electrical engineers, and vendors for planned maintenance and upgrades.
• Ensure comprehensive handovers between shifts and maintain strong communication during incidents.
• Identify opportunities to automate monitoring tasks, reduce false alarms, and improve workflows with Engineering teams.
