Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is seeking an entry-level Wind Farm Service Technician to begin a rewarding career in the renewable energy sector. You will receive comprehensive on-the-job training to maintain and service wind turbine technology, performing scheduled maintenance and assisting with troubleshooting under supervision.

You’ll work with a team to use diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools, while following strict EHS policies.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED; an Associate’s Degree or Technical Certificate in Wind Energy or a related mechanical/electrical field is preferred.
Vocational education in electrical/technical (MBO 3/4) or equivalent work experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools and power tool operation.
Basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems, along with troubleshooting skills.
Valid Driver’s License and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on wind turbines, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions in turbine systems under the guidance of senior technicians.
Execute basic repairs and component replacements using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
Adhere strictly to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Actively participate in on-the-job training and collaborate effectively with team members to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
