Job summary

Siemens Gamesa is seeking an entry-level Wind Farm Service Technician to begin a rewarding career in the renewable energy sector. You will receive comprehensive on-the-job training to maintain and service wind turbine technology, performing scheduled maintenance and assisting with troubleshooting under supervision.

You’ll work with a team to use diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools, while following strict EHS policies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED; an Associate’s Degree or Technical Certificate in Wind Energy or a related mechanical/electrical field is preferred.
  • Vocational education in electrical/technical (MBO 3/4) or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools and power tool operation.
  • Basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems, along with troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on wind turbines, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions in turbine systems under the guidance of senior technicians.
  • Execute basic repairs and component replacements using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
  • Adhere strictly to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Actively participate in on-the-job training and collaborate effectively with team members to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
