Job summary

Siemens Gamesa in the Netherlands is seeking an entry-level Wind Farm Service Technician to begin a career in renewable energy with comprehensive on-the-job training to maintain and service advanced wind turbine technology.

You will perform scheduled maintenance, assist with troubleshooting and repairs, and work alongside experienced technicians to learn to use diagnostic tools while ensuring safety and optimal performance of wind farm assets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; an Associate’s Degree or Technical Certificate in Wind Energy preferred.
• Vocational education in electrical/technical (MBO 3/4) or equivalent work experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on wind turbines, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions in turbine systems under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Execute basic repairs and component replacements using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
• Adhere strictly to all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) protocols, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Actively participate in on-the-job training and collaborate effectively with team members to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
