Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American, part of the Dalata Hotel Group, is seeking a part-time Waiter with a strong weekend focus for Cafe Americain. You will provide warm, professional service across breakfast to dinner in a vibrant Art Deco setting on Leidseplein in Amsterdam.

The role emphasizes guest interaction, menu knowledge, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Experience is valued, and a positive, proactive attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience in a similar waitering role.
• Weekend, evenings and public holidays availability.
• Fluent in English or Dutch; additional languages a plus.
• Friendly, professional and presentable with excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Know the menu inside out and assist guests with allergens and wine selections.
• Greet guests warmly and maintain a welcoming, tidy restaurant environment.
• Take orders accurately, upsell where appropriate, and deliver orders promptly.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues to ensure smooth service.
• Handle guest concerns calmly and professionally, turning challenges into positive experiences.
• Support the team to ensure a seamless guest experience during busy periods.
