Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Amsterdam seeks a Warehouse Team Lead for the day shift to guide a frontline team, coach colleagues, and ensure orders are accurate, safe and shipped on time.

You will oversee inbound/outbound flows, monitor daily performance, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with our WMS to optimize processes in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of experience as a warehouse team lead or similar role.
• Strong command of English, and preferably Dutch.
• Ability to coach and develop a diverse team.
• Focus on safety, quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inbound and outbound operations and daily performance.
• Coach the team to maximize productivity and quality.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure targets are met.
• Coordinate with daily morning briefing and inform Customer Service of priorities.
• Work with WMS CargoWRITE and handle related admin tasks.

How you do this? You understand the dynamics of a warehouse and know what it takes to help a team succeed. As a team lead, you oversee both inbound and outbound operations, monitor daily performance, and coach your team to get the best out of every individual. You keep a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity, ensuring every order is completed accurately and shipped on time. You achieve this by:

• coordinating daily operational activities during the morning Blue Box team briefing;
• keeping our Customer Service team informed about the previous day's performance and the day's operational priorities;
• monitoring productivity across the warehouse and proactively identifying and resolving operational issues;
• contributing to projects that continuously improve our logistics processes and ways of working;
• actively monitoring KPIs and ensuring operational targets are achieved;
• working with our WMS (CargoWRITE) and handling a variety of people-related administrative tasks.

You bring

• an energetic work attitude and a fresh perspective, you are not afraid to address challenges head-on and are driven by results;
• at least 2 years of experience as a warehouse team lead or similar role, with a strong sense of responsibility;
• strong command of English, and preferably Dutch;
• tactic social skills and inspiration, you can manage teams towards targets and have a positive mindset.
