Job summary

DSV Hapert is seeking a Team Lead Warehouse Airfreight to lead a small, skilled team in a high tech environment. You will supervise terminal operators, coordinate daily planning and ensure safe, correct ULD builds.

This hands-on role demands good English, Dutch as a plus, adaptability to volume shifts, and a drive to improve workflows together with your team.

Salary between €2,900 and €3,400 gross per month plus 28 vacation days, holiday pay, a pension plan and other benefits.

• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.

Would you like to lead in a specialist warehouse environment where air freight, high tech customers and logistics puzzles come together? Correctly and safely building ULDs for our high tech customers within a specialist Air & Sea environment: you’re on it. No day is the same, because together with your team you make sure freight is built safely, efficiently and within the booked space and deadlines.

How you do this? As team lead warehouse, you work hands-on in the operation and manage terminal operators. You keep an overview of the planning, divide the work and switch quickly when the final day turns out differently than expected. The shifts are usually from 08:00 to 16:30 or from 12:00 to 20:30, but due to the volumes of our high tech customers, starting earlier, working overtime or occasional weekend work may be required. You achieve this by:

• preparing the daily planning, looking at the available freight, booked space, deadlines, people and materials;
• building and checking ULDs, where together with the team you solve the logistics puzzle and make sure freight is placed safely and correctly on the pallets;
• managing, coaching and motivating terminal operators during the operation, while keeping an overview and switching quickly in case of deviations or time pressure;
• contributing ideas for smarter working methods, the use of materials and the organisation of shifts, so that you keep improving as a team every day and every week.

Your team stands out within DSV by its specialist knowledge, stable character and the way you keep improving together. The team currently consists of 2 senior teamleads, 2 teamleads and 1 operator, and will continue to grow with 3 or 4 new colleagues. There is little turnover, a lot of experience and every day you look at how things can be done smarter, safer and better.

You bring

• experience in a leadership role within a warehouse environment, so you know how to bring people along in the daily operation;
• mbo working and thinking level, combined with spatial awareness and enjoyment in solving logistics puzzles;
• a hands-on mentality, where you are not afraid to work alongside the team and keep an overview under time pressure;
• good command of the English language, both written and spoken, Dutch is a plus, and the flexibility to move with the volumes of our high tech customers.
