Joining Longchamp means becoming part of a world-renowned family business with over 70 years of craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation.
To strengthen our presence at our Amsterdam boutique on PC Hooftstraat, we are recruiting a Sales Advisor – Visual Merchandising Ambassador. Reporting to the Boutique Manager, you will accompany and convert clients across our full assortment while owning the boutique's visual merchandising execution as a scheduled, accountable specialism.
By joining our team, you will help perpetuate our heritage of excellence and support ambitious, innovative retail projects.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver the service standard expected of a Longchamp Sales Advisor across every client interaction.
- Welcome, accompany, and advise clients across the full purchase journey (needs discovery, product recommendation, closing) with genuine warmth and precision.
- Build lasting client relationships through personalised follow-ups and clienteling, adapting to both local returning clients and international visitors.
- Contribute to shared boutique KPIs (conversion, average transaction value, clienteling actions) as a full member of the sales team.
- Use first-hand product and display knowledge to guide clients toward alternatives when a piece is unavailable, turning potential missed sales into confident recommendations.
Own the boutique's visual standard so it consistently matches the calibre of its PC Hooftstraat neighbours, as protected, scheduled floor time rather than a quiet-moment task.
- Execute HQ visual merchandising guidelines across windows, in-store zoning, and product storytelling, adapting them to the boutique's architecture.
- Own daily display maintenance and high-flow adjustments, keeping key pieces visible and accessible throughout the day.
- Lead seasonal layout changes and campaign installations alongside the Boutique Manager and HQ Visual Merchandising team.
- Keep price and signage accurate and current across the boutique.
- Read sales-per-zone and fixture-productivity data from boutique dashboards to inform display decisions, grounding merchandising in what performs rather than aesthetics alone.
- Monitor competitor and street-level standards on PC Hooftstraat, proactively flagging opportunities.
3. Brand Ambassadorship & Training
Embody the House in every interaction.
- Represent Longchamp with energy, authenticity, and professionalism.
- Share our heritage, craftsmanship, and materials expertise, using the boutique's presentation to reinforce it.
- Complete all mandatory training modules and apply learnings daily.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Solid retail sales experience, ideally in a premium or luxury environment.
- A demonstrated eye for visual detail and proportion, paired with commercial judgement.
- Comfort reading and acting on KPI dashboards; familiarity with a retail system such as CEGID is an asset.
- Ability to manage a dual workload within a structured weekly rhythm, prioritising autonomously.
- Fluency in Dutch and English; French or other languages are a strong asset given our international clientele.
WHAT WE OFFER
- A competitive package with staff discounts on our collections.
- Transport reimbursement and well-being initiatives.
- Genuine professional development within a growing, family-owned House.
- An inclusive, collaborative boutique environment on one of Europe's premier shopping streets.
- Performance incentives and internal mobility opportunities.
JOB TYPE
Fixed-term contract (7 months, with target conversion to permanent). Full-time. Availability required across weekends and public holidays in line with boutique opening hours.
