Job summary

Bugaboo Group, based in Amsterdam, invites a DTP Intern to support packaging artwork, user guides, illustrations, and localization across the portfolio. You’ll work with product and design teams to ensure high-quality, brand-consistent materials for multiple markets.

Gain hands-on experience in packaging artwork development, desktop publishing, and production-ready files within a fast-paced international setting. Mentorship and commuting reimbursement are provided; a laptop is supplied.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Desktop Publishing, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Acrobat.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT) and basic printing/pre-press concepts.
• Strong English writing and verbal skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks.

• Develop and update product user guides, instruction manuals, and online user guides.
• Create and edit illustrations, icons, and visual assets for product documentation.

About the internship

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented DTP Intern to support the creation and localization of product artwork and communication materials across the Bugaboo portfolio. The intern will work closely with the product and design team to develop packaging artwork, user guides, illustrations, and other market-facing materials while ensuring compliance with brand guidelines and quality standards.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in packaging design, technical documentation, illustration creation, and desktop publishing within a fast-paced international environment.

What will you do

What you bring to the table

• Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Desktop Publishing, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
• Good knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly:
• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Acrobat
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PPT)
• Basic understanding of printing and pre-press requirements.
• Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good time management and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of assignments.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Working with layouts, technical documentation, and packaging artwork.
• Following brand guidelines and design standards with precision.
• Creating clear and functional illustrations for user documentation.
• Managing multilingual content and localization workflows.
• Preparing artwork for print and digital publication.
• Delivering accurate, detail-oriented work within defined processes and timelines.
• Exposure to product documentation, localization, and print production processes.
• Experience working with established brand guidelines across multiple product categories.

This internship is focused on production and adaptation work, including desktop publishing, packaging artwork, illustrations for user guides, and content localization. While creativity is appreciated, the role centers on executing and maintaining materials within existing brand and technical guidelines.

It may not be suitable for candidates seeking experience in concept development, branding, advertising, digital art, creative marketing design, or product/UX/UI design.
