Job summary

Bugaboo Group in Amsterdam invites a motivated Legal Intern to join our dynamic legal team. You’ll support paralegal and legal operations, handling contracts, documents and tools in a global in-house setting.

Ideal candidates study Law and seek experience in contractual negotiation, compliance and legal tech, with strong English and teamwork skills. You’ll report to the Head of Legal and Compliance, with a 500 EUR monthly internship allowance and a laptop provided.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (Dutch Civil Law or European/International Law preferred).
  • Availability of an approved University agreement.
  • Interest in in‑house legal practice, compliance and/or legal tech.
  • Proactive, detail‑oriented and eager to learn.
  • Comfortable working in an international environment and collaborating across teams.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiar with DocuSign, Jira or CLM software.
  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Paralegal support: assist in preparation and review of contracts and legal documents (NDAs, commercial/procurement contracts, corporate documents).
  • Conduct legal research on compliance, corporate and privacy matters.
  • Support maintenance of corporate records.
  • Help track legal deadlines and coordinate approvals and signatures.
  • Legal operations: manage legal tools and workflows (legal inbox, Jira, CLM).
  • Maintain legal intranet pages and document repositories (SharePoint).
  • Collaborate on standardising templates, processes and knowledge libraries.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, including AI-enabled tools and workflow automation.

About the internship

We’re looking for a motivated Legal Intern to join our dynamic Legal team in Amsterdam. This internship offers a unique opportunity to support both paralegal and legal operations functions, contributing to a broad range of activities within a global legal environment. You will work closely with our lawyers to support day‑to‑day legal operations, help maintain compliance processes and assist in managing legal contracts, documents and tools.

This role is perfect for someone interested in various legal fields such as contractual negotiation or compliance, and operational excellence within a legal context. The role offers valuable experience working with a diverse, international in‑house legal team and supporting the company’s global operations.

You are fully part of the Legal team and report to the Head of Legal and Compliance.

What will you do
Paralegal Support
  • Assist in the preparation and review of contracts and legal documents (e.g., NDAs, commercial/procurement contracts, corporate documents).
  • Conduct legal research on compliance, corporate and privacy matters.
  • Support the maintenance of corporate records.
  • Help track legal deadlines and coordinate internal approvals and signatures.
Legal Operations
  • Support the management of legal tools and workflows (e.g., legal inbox, Jira ticketing system, contract lifecycle management (CLM)).
  • Help maintain the legal intranet pages and document repositories (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Collaborate in standardising legal templates, processes and building knowledge libraries.
  • Support the legal team’s digital transformation initiatives, including the responsible use of AI‑enabled tools and workflow automation.
What will you bring to the table
