Job summary

NEW YORKER is seeking a Visual Merchandiser to implement and monitor VM guidelines across Dutch stores. You will analyze KPIs, visit branches, and drive VM initiatives while coordinating renovations and new openings. This role requires creativity, travel, and weekend work during openings.

You will train sales staff, enhance in-store VM skills, and collaborate with Regional Managers as well as the Sales Manager Netherlands. A strong eye for trends and fashion is essential.

Qualifications

• Completed education in Visual Marketing, Merchandising, or Design or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years’ experience as Visual Merchandiser in fast-fashion retail.
• Affinity with fashion, creativity, and sense of trends.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Hands-on mentality, ability to set priorities and make decisions.
• Willingness to travel and work weekends during openings/renovations, and support nearby-country openings.
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English; German a plus.

Responsibilities

THIS IS THE JOB

• Responsible for implementing and monitoring the VM guidelines through regular analysis of KPIs and store visits (branches in the Netherlands);
• Responsible for achieving all VM-related objectives and optimizing VM processes; Coordinating and supporting renovations and new store openings;
• Training and coaching the sales staff in following the correct VM guidelines, analyzing KPIs to boost sales, and developing (in-store) VM talents;
• Close collaboration with the Regional Managers and direct reporting line to the Sales Manager of the Netherlands.

THIS IS WHAT WE NEED

• A completed education in Visual Marketing / Merchandising / Design or an equivalent qualification/ education;
• At least 2 years of professional experience as a Visual Merchandiser in (fastfashion) Retail;
• Affinity with the fashion industry as well as creativity and a sense of trends;
• Good planning and organizational skills;
• A hands-on mentality, the ability to set priorities, being assertive, and willing to make decisions;
• A high willingness to travel and do not mind working weekends during openings/renovations and supporting openings/renovations in nearby countries;
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English is requierd. German is a plus.
