Job summary

Adyen is seeking a Tooling Manager for the Professional Services Excellence team to own the tooling landscape and drive automation and AI-driven workflows across regions. You will architect production-ready automations, integrate systems, and partner with Engineering and Data to deliver scalable, reliable tooling for merchant onboarding and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Senior-level judgment and presence with 7–10 years in technical operations, systems or revenue operations.
• Hands-on builder comfortable with APIs, webhooks, JSON, and relational data structures.
• Advanced configuration and administration across modern PM tools, enterprise collab suites, and automation platforms.
• Systemic thinker weighing downstream effects of configuration on data integrity and scalability.
• Make high-conviction decisions with incomplete information and deploy quickly.
• Strong ownership mindset: accountable, transparent, and fixes root causes.

Responsibilities

• Own the PS systems landscape and end-to-end evaluation, procurement, implementation, and administration of project/work management platforms (e.g., Jira, Monday.com).
• Audit and diagnose merchant-facing delivery workflows and internal PS systems to fix bottlenecks without tickets.
• Assess third-party platforms for PS needs and balance out-of-the-box vs build decisions.
• Retire obsolete tools and ensure landscape coherence by avoiding narrow-scope solutions.
• Build production-ready automations, GenAI workflows and agents to reduce friction in onboarding and handoffs.
• Work with Engineering, Data, and other tooling owners to keep integrations clean as the landscape grows.
• Define reporting framework and translate system data into actionable insights for PS leadership.
• Set data quality, security, and compliance standards across tools and workflows.
