Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant technical and engineering experience.

This includes the development of engineering, product customization, assembly, software integration and regulatory support capabilities to better serve customers and distributors and create additional value within the European market.

To support this transformation, we are seeking a highly capable Technical Solutions & Engineering Manager.

The Role

The Technical Solutions & Engineering Manager will be responsible for developing and leading Anritsu Europe's technical capabilities.

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position. The successful candidate will establish the roadmap for local engineering activities, support the introduction of assembly and modification capabilities, strengthen technical problem-solving, and help build quality and regulatory competencies required to support future healthcare and food growth.

The role will work closely with colleagues in Europe, USA and Japan and will play a key part in shaping the next stage of Anritsu Europe's development.

Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership
  • Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for engineering capability development in Europe.
  • Lead and coordinate local engineering activities, modifications and technical projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and coaching to engineering staff.
  • Act as the technical escalation point for complex customer and product issues.
  • Liaise with engineering teams in Japan regarding product improvements, technical issues and development opportunities.
Technical Solutions & Customization
  • Develop processes for local product modifications and customer-specific solutions.
  • Evaluate opportunities for local assembly and value-added technical activities.
  • Support technical feasibility assessments and solution development.
  • Drive standardization of engineering processes, documentation and change management.
Quality & Regulatory Capability
  • Support the development of internal quality and regulatory processes.
  • Act as the primary internal counterpart for external notified bodies, consultants and regulatory experts.
  • Establish and maintain technical documentation, design controls and change management processes as required.
  • Support future healthcare and pharmaceutical market initiatives from a technical compliance perspective.
Software & Integration
  • Support the development of software and systems integration capabilities where relevant.
  • Assess customer requirements for connectivity, automation, reporting and data integration.
  • Coordinate technical activities involving interfaces, applications and system integration.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Sales, Service and Operations teams.
  • Support customer visits, technical reviews and strategic opportunities.
  • Provide technical input for new market initiatives, including healthcare and pharmaceutical applications.
  • Contribute to business planning, investment proposals and capability development initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant technical and engineering experience.
  • Experience leading technical projects, engineering teams or capability-building initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment, automation systems and technical troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in an international environment.
Preferred
  • Experience within food, pharmaceutical, inspection, packaging or automation industries.
  • Experience with product inspection systems, including checkweighers, metal detectors, and X-ray inspection equipment, as well as packaging machinery and automation solutions for the food and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Familiarity with assembly, manufacturing or product customization environments.
  • Exposure to quality systems and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working with Japanese or other international engineering organizations.
  • Knowledge of software integration, industrial communication protocols or automation systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare, medical device or pharmaceutical compliance environments.

Salary Range: EUR 80,000 – 100,000 gross annual OTE (On-Target Earnings = fixed + variable part). Salary ranges may vary depending on seniority, experience, qualifications, skills and locations. All the salary details will be discussed during the recruitment process.
