Job summary

Avertim Netherlands is seeking Maintenance and Facilities & Utilities Engineers to support expansion in Life Sciences & Chemicals. Based in Amsterdam-Zuid, you will develop and implement maintenance strategies, oversee automated security systems, and ensure reliability of HVAC, energy and water systems.

You should hold a Master’s in Engineering, have Life Sciences experience, knowledge of LCM, and bring SAP expertise. Fluent English is required; Dutch preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related).
• Experience in the Life Sciences industry.
• Knowledge of Life Cycle Management (LCM) of equipment and installations.
• Planning & organization – plan and organize own work effectively.
• Communicating & influencing – clear communication and active listening.
• Hands-on experience with SAP.
• Lean and Six Sigma methodologies or Project Management preferred.
• Fluent in English; Dutch preferred.
• Dutch working permit; sponsorship not possible.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement corrective/preventive maintenance strategies.
• Maintain and troubleshoot automated security systems (Fire safety, CCTV).
• Maintain facilities, HVAC, energy systems, water systems and other utilities.
• Ensure GMP and GAMP compliance.
• Initiate continuous improvement initiatives.
• Introduce new equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors to review and track job order progress.
• Manage quality-related aspects in maintenance (deviations, NCs, CAPAs, change controls).

Avertim Netherlands is currently looking for Maintenance and Facilities & Utilities Engineers able to assist in the continuous expansion of Avertim’s consulting activities in Life Sciences & Chemicals. Located in Amsterdam-Zuid, Avertim Netherlands is a trusted partner by the largest players in the Life Sciences sector.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement corrective/preventive maintenance strategies
• Maintaining and troubleshooting automated security systems, like Fire safety, CCTV, etc.
• Maintaining and troubleshooting of facilities, HVAC, energy systems, water systems and other utilities
• Compliance with GMP and GAMP
• Initiating and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• Introduction of new equipment
• Maintain direct communication with key contractors to review and track job order progress
• Management of quality-related aspects in maintenance, such as handling deviations, NCs, CAPAs, and change controls

Your background:

• A Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related)
• Experience in the Life Sciences industry
• Knowledge of Life Cycle Management (LCM) of equipment and installations
• Planning & organization – Planning & organization plans and organizes own work(load) in an effective way by setting priorities and meeting deadlines;
• Communicating & influencing – Communicates with clarity speaks and writes clearly and to the point; active listener;
• Hands-on experience with SAP
• Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies or Project Management preferred
