Role
- Service Engineer to join a growing service team of 4, covering the BENELUX & Nordics region.
Responsibilities
- The installation and commissioning of mechanical testing and characterisation instruments at customer sites across the BENELUX & Nordics territories
- Training of customers in the operation & use of instruments
- Carrying out routine preventative maintenance visits
- Responding to emergency service call-outs and repairs
- Fault diagnosis and resolution using mechanical, electrical and software fault-finding skills
- Providing full written reports on activities
The Person / Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of experience as a service engineer, working with complex equipment analytical instruments (e.g., optical microscopes, laser deposition systems, photonics devices, sample preparation tools, electron microscopes, spectrometers, X-ray CT systems, MRI scanners, particle analysis machines, or similar)
- A background in Electronics or Mechatronics is highly desirable; minimum BSc in a related field
- Customer-focused and solution-oriented; enjoys delivering a positive customer experience
- Adaptable, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Personable team player who collaborates well
- Independent and self-supporting with a curious and exploratory approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach
- Willingness to travel frequently for on-site customer support across the BENELUX region—typically spending 1 week per month away from home on average
- Fluent in English and Dutch
Travel
This role involves travelling around 60% of the time, nationally and internationally across the BENELUX region. All travel is arranged during the working week (Monday–Friday).
