Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment partners with a large tech company to hire a Freelance Strategic Technical Product Manager for Observability & Platform Engineering. You will set the product vision for the technical backbone used by 30+ DevOps teams and translate complex tech into user value.

Dutch-speaking, you bring 5+ years as a Product Owner or Product Manager, deep observability knowledge (logs, traces, APM), and a hands-on, strategic mindset. This 6–12 month assignment offers an hourly rate of €120.

Qualifications

FREELANCE Strategic Technical Product Manager - Observability & Platform Engineering - DUTCH SPEAKING (120 p/hr)

Are you ready to set the product vision for the technical backbone used by 30+ DevOps teams? And do you have the technical depth and product mindset to transform an observability platform into a go-to tool every engineer depends on?

My client is a large, dynamic tech company with real scale. Within their foundation domain, the Reliability Engineering (RE) team is the driving force behind the professionalisation and acceleration of 30+ internal DevOps teams. The team has grown from an enabling team into a mature platform team, owning a tech stack that includes and a growing self-service platform running on AWS/Azure with Docker and Kubernetes. The focus is now on increasing adoption and maximising the value of these internal developer products across the entire engineering organisation.

Looking for a Technical Product Manager who doesn't just manage a backlog but sets the strategic direction. You bridge the gap between technology and user, apply a Silicon Valley Product Group mindset to validate desirability, feasibility and viability, and shape your own role in an environment that, despite the company's size, still has a hands-on, entrepreneurial feel.

Your profile:

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager
• You're a strategist who defines the 'why' behind the product, not a backlog admin.
• Deep technical affinity: you understand observability concepts (logs, traces, APM), SRE principles and platform engineering.
• You have agency: you spot work, pick it up, and don't wait to be told.
• Experience working with or for software engineering teams.
