The Opportunity:

As our Technical Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Marketing Measurement platform. You’ll act as the bridge between business stakeholders, data scientists, and software engineers — translating ideas and requirements into clear, actionable product deliverables. Your focus will be on ensuring that our teams deliver scalable, data-driven features that make a measurable impact for our clients.

You will take ownership of the short- and mid-term roadmap for our development and machine learning teams, working closely together with them toward the successful delivery of features that enhance the robustness, usability, and intelligence of our platform. By managing and prioritising both feature requests and technical improvements, you will ensure alignment between strategic goals and day‑to‑day development work.

This is a hands‑on role where your technical understanding, analytical mindset, and ability to connect the dots between data and business impact will be key. You’ll have the opportunity to work with highly skilled engineers and data scientists in a fast‑growing environment, where innovation, transparency, and collaboration drive everything we do.

About Objective Platform:

Our culture and values:

Our culture can be described as a social start‑up, with the financial benefits of a scale‑up. Open and transparent, we are a developing team and organisation who are open for feedback and are true team players. With EQ & IQ in balance, we put our egos aside, work hard and proactively help each other out. We’re passionate about working together to reach our set targets & KPIs, and we’re proud of the fact that we house more than 15 nationalities and actively promote diversity, equality and inclusion.

Our company values, which can be seen as our behavioural compass, support us in our daily interaction and decision making with our peers and customers. We are Innovative Data Driven Transparent Ambitious Collaborative.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the product backlog: define, prioritise, and refine epics, user stories, and functional requirements.
  • Shape and maintain the short- and mid-term roadmap for development and machine learning teams.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for incoming feature requests and bug reports.
  • Operate as the liaison between business/operational teams and our engineering department.
  • Work closely with engineering, data science, and UX teams to ensure requirements are well understood and feasible.
  • Translate business and user needs into clear technical specifications and success criteria.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and ensure sprint goals align with roadmap priorities.
  • Evaluate feature performance post‑release and feed insights back into future planning.
  • Maintain transparent documentation around product requirements, dependencies, and releases.
  • Collaborate with QA and DevOps to ensure smooth product releases and quality outcomes.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a product owner or technical role (preferably in a SaaS, data, or analytics‑driven environment).
  • Strong technical understanding: able to discuss and challenge both UX and data flows with engineering teams.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Strong affinity with data‑driven products and/or platforms.
  • Ability to find pragmatic solutions for complex challenges.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Analytical or data science background to be able to challenge ideas/bugs/request both from a commercial and a technical perspective.
  • Experience in marketing and/or analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with data pipelines, tracking, or attribution modelling.

Why us?

  • We are a young Amsterdam‑based tech company with smart, educated people who have a passion for their field of expertise.
  • We are output‑driven, which creates freedom and responsibility.
  • An opportunity to implement our cutting‑edge solution used by industry‑leading clients to optimise large marketing investments.
  • A place within a team of young experts that learn from each other.
  • The chance to work at a fast‑growing company with a unique mix of local and international clients.

What we offer (Objective Perks):

  • A competitive salary based on your experience.
  • 25 holiday days per year (based on a full‑time contract) as well as a day of Celebration Leave, which can be used to celebrate events not covered by the Dutch public holidays.
  • A great pension plan with NN.
  • A generous annual personal development budget and a training budget.
  • A mobility allowance (if you live more than 10km away from the office).
  • A health and wellness benefit in the form of company discounted subscriptions to OneFit.
  • A positive, encouraging work environment with an open/flat culture.
  • A team of smart, young, motivated and ambitious colleagues to work alongside you.
