Job summary

Searchability® is seeking a mid to senior Product Owner to own a product area end-to-end in a fast-paced Amsterdam team. The role is permanent and full-time, with hybrid Amsterdam work and close collaboration with engineering, design and clinicians to ship tangible features.

You will translate input from clinicians and customers into a prioritized backlog, define scope, and defend decisions, delivering a strong MVP while supporting a growing product line in the healthcare software domain.

Qualifications

• Mid to senior Product Owner or Product Manager experience is required.
• Able to hold customer conversations in Dutch; commercial fluency is sufficient.
• Genuine zero-to-one delivery experience; able to discuss launched work in detail.
• Strong project management, including scoping, sequencing and prioritisation.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and light process in a startup-like environment.
• Amsterdam-based or willing to commute, full-time.

Responsibilities

• Turn input from clinicians, advisors and launch customers into a prioritized, shippable backlog.
• Own scope and defend decisions while shipping the MVP in short cycles.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and design in a fast-moving team.
• Talk directly to customers in Dutch and feed learnings back into the product.

• Mid to senior Product Owner, permanent, full time, Amsterdam hybrid
• €60,000 to €80,000 base, plus holiday allowance, performance bonus, strong pension scheme
• Zero to one product build, greenfield, no legacy to inherit
• Dutch language required for customer conversations
• Team of 13 in Amsterdam, backed by an established and profitable group

ABOUT THE CLIENT

An early stage software business building practice management software for the healthcare sector. They sit inside a larger, well established healthcare software group, so the domain knowledge, the customer access and the funding are all already there.

What they are building is genuinely new. Most software in this market was architected fifteen years ago as a closed system and patched year after year until nobody dares touch it. No clean API surface, no separation of concerns, no realistic path to modern tooling. Their customers know it and are stuck with it.

THE ROLE

You would own a product area end to end alongside the Head of Product. In a team this size that means you set the scope, decide what is in and what is out, run the cycle, ship it and move on.

The domain knowledge exists around you rather than inside you. There are internal experts, external advisors, launch customers already engaged and a practising clinician in the office twice a week. Your job is to extract it, not to arrive with it.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING

• Turning input from clinicians, advisors and launch customers into a prioritised, shippable backlog
• Owning scope, cutting what does not earn its place and defending the decisio
• Running short cycles, shipping the MVP and moving on rather than gold plating
• Working shoulder to shoulder with engineering and design in a fast moving team
• Talking directly to customers, in Dutch, and bringing what you learn back into the product
• Helping define how product works here as the team grows

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• Mid to senior Product Owner or Product Manager
• Able to hold customer conversations in Dutch. Native is not required, commercial fluency is
• Genuine zero to one experience. Something you took from nothing to launched and can talk through in detail. It does not have to be a startup, a project counts, but you have to have actually delivered it
• Strong project management. Scoping, sequencing and prioritisation are the core of this job
• Comfortable in ambiguity and light process
• Amsterdam or a comfortable commute, full time

DESIRABLE, NOT ESSENTIAL

• Practice management, clinical or vertical SaaS background
• Experience in a company under 50 people
• Having built or run something of your own
