Job description

Holland2Stay's portfolio is growing rapidly, which means our Technical Management team is growing too. That is why we are looking for a Technical Manager for the The Hague and Rotterdam region.

Your role

As Technical Manager, you are ultimately responsible for the technical quality of your portfolio. Daily maintenance and resident communication are handled by our Caretakers and Repair & Maintenance Coordinators. You work closely with the R&M Coordinators to monitor daily maintenance and provide support on technical matters. For major technical issues or emergencies, they will rely on your expertise.

You are also responsible for large-scale maintenance projects and the long-term maintenance plan (MJOP). In this role, you work closely with property owners and contractors. You will not be doing this alone. Our Contract Manager supports you with maintenance contracts, while the Finance team helps monitor budgets. Together with property owners, you contribute to sustainability initiatives and long-term maintenance projects across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities
  • You are ultimately responsible for the technical quality and condition of your portfolio.

  • You coordinate and oversee daily maintenance in close collaboration with the Repair & Maintenance Coordinators.

  • You are the technical point of contact for complex technical issues and major emergencies, determining the best approach.

  • You initiate and manage large-scale maintenance and renovation projects and oversee the long-term maintenance plan (MJOP).

  • You proactively work with property owners and contractors to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • You collaborate with the Contract Manager to establish, manage, and optimize maintenance contracts.

  • You monitor budgets and project costs together with Finance and make adjustments where necessary.

  • You actively contribute to sustainability initiatives and future-proof maintenance plans in collaboration with property owners.

    What do you bring?
    • You have a bachelor's degree in Construction, Building Services Engineering, or a similar technical field, or have reached this level through relevant work experience.

    • You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar technical role within real estate, property management, or maintenance.

    • You have strong technical knowledge and always look for practical, smart, and accurate solutions.

    • You are results-driven and adapt easily to changing priorities and developments.

    • You are proactive, communicate clearly, and enjoy working with others.

    • You have an excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.

    • You live centrally in the Netherlands, allowing you to travel efficiently throughout your portfolio.

    • You recognize yourself in our core values: Be Bold, Get Stuff Done, Kind & Caring, and Positive Energy.

    What do we offer?
    • A varied role within a close-knit team, including regular team events and activities.

    • A competitive salary.

    • Plenty of opportunities for personal and professional development.

    • The chance to make a real impact within a fast-growing organization.

    • An open culture where your ideas are valued and initiative is encouraged.

    • A company car, laptop, and phone.

    • The opportunity to go on a workation and temporarily work from an inspiring location.
