FreshRecruitment in Maastricht is seeking a hands‑on Team Leader for a new food production department. This day‑shift role leads 2 supervisors and 6 operators, shaping processes and daily operations as lines come online.

You will implement SOPs, train staff, and collaborate with a Project Manager on two new batch lines scheduled for Q1 2027, driving performance and continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of leadership experience in food production or food manufacturing.
• Experience in batch mixing and liquid processing in a strong‑odour production environment.
• Knowledge of ATEX and safe handling of hazardous raw materials, including respirators.
• Experience with the Navision ERP system.
• Good written and spoken English; Dutch preferred and German is an advantage.
• Professional work authorisation to work in the Netherlands.
• Live within commuting distance of Maastricht or willing to relocate.

We are recruiting a hands‑on Production Team Leader for a growing B2B food ingredients manufacturer in Maastricht. This is an opportunity to help shape a new department, establish effective production processes and take ownership of daily operations once the lines are running.

Your responsibilities

• Lead, train and develop a new team of 2 production supervisors and 6 operators.
• Work with the Project Manager to prepare and commission 2 new batch mixing and packaging lines, with the first starting in Q1 2027.
• Establish safe operating procedures, work instructions and production planning.
• Learn the processes through approximately four multi‑day visits to Germany.
• Drive operational performance, team development and continuous improvement.

What you bring

• At least 5 years of leadership experience in food production or food manufacturing.
• Experience in batch mixing and liquid processing in a strong‑odour production environment.
• Knowledge of ATEX and safe handling of hazardous raw materials, including wearing filtered respiratory protective masks.
• Experience with the Navision ERP system.
• Good written and spoken English; Dutch is preferred and German is an advantage.
• Professional work experience in Europe and valid authorisation to work in the Netherlands.
• You live within commuting distance of Maastricht or are willing and able to relocate to the immediate area.
