Job summary

ALTEN Netherlands is expanding its Integration Engineering team in the Eindhoven and Rotterdam regions. We are seeking Integration Engineers who can perform hardware/software integration, validate sensors and interfaces, and execute structured testing to support incoming projects with high‑tech clients.

The role involves hands‑on lab work, using CANoe/Wireshark, Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and HIL/SIL environments to diagnose issues and verify system behavior.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Strong background in hardware and/or software integration, sensor validation, and testing.
• Hands-on experience with CANoe, Wireshark, and laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and validate hardware and software components across sensors, embedded systems, and communication interfaces.
• Develop and execute integration test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional, communication, and system-level verification of integrated components.

Job description

ALTEN Netherlands is strengthening its Integration Engineering team to anticipate several incoming projects with high‑tech clients in the Eindhoven and Rotterdam areas. We are looking for Integration Engineers who can perform hardware/software integration, validate sensors and communication interfaces and execute structured testing.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware–Software Integration

• Integrate and validate hardware and software components across sensors, embedded systems, and communication interfaces.
• Analyse and troubleshoot system behaviour using tools such as CANoe, Wireshark, and laboratory measurement equipment.
• Ensure correct functioning of communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.) and sensor data flows.
• Support integration activities across electronics, software, and mechanical domains.
• Develop and execute integration test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional, communication, and system‑level verification of integrated components.
• Perform root‑cause analysis using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and HIL/SIL environments.
• Work hands‑on with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, etc.) to diagnose issues and verify system behaviour.

Requirements

• 3 to 8+ years of experience as an Integration Engineer or in a similar role (5+ preferred for senior profiles).
• Strong background in hardware and/or software integration, sensor validation, communication testing, and troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience with CANoe, Wireshark, and laboratory equipment.
• Proficiency with Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, and experience with HIL/SIL environments.
• Solid understanding of communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and embedded system behaviour.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related technical discipline.
