Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our Eindhoven team. You will monitor, maintain, and optimize our global network infrastructure across international sites, ensuring high availability and performance.

You will lead complex network changes, coordinate incident response, and collaborate with infrastructure, security, and cloud teams to keep the network secure and resilient while documenting architecture and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience managing enterprise-scale network infrastructures globally.
• Strong routing, switching, WAN/LAN, VPN, and firewall knowledge.
• Experience handling complex changes and high-impact incidents.
• Understanding of network security principles.
• Hands-on cloud networking experience is a plus.

As part of our ongoing growth, we are looking for a Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our teams in Eindhoven!

The Position

We are looking for a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to ensure our global network infrastructure performs at its highest level. In this role, you will be responsible for continuously monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing network availability and performance across all international sites.

• Monitor and manage global network infrastructure performance and availability.
• Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve network performance bottlenecks.
• Ensure high availability and reliability across all sites and locations.
• Lead the execution of complex network changes, upgrades, and migrations.
• Take ownership during critical incidents, coordinating resolution efforts and ensuring minimal business impact.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and cloud teams to maintain a secure and resilient network environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network architecture, configurations, and procedures.

Your Profile

• Proven experience in managing enterprise-level network infrastructures in a global environment.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching technologies, WAN/LAN, VPN, firewalls, and network monitoring tools.
• Experience handling complex changes and high-impact incidents.
• Solid understanding of network security principles.
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking (e.g., Azure, AWS, or similar) is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
