Job summary

IMCD Group in Rotterdam seeks a Business Development & Sales Manager Synthesis Pharma to lead commercial expansion across South Eastern Europe. You will nurture existing accounts, win new business, and drive growth in intermediates, solvents and fine chemicals, acting as local Product Manager for principals and coordinating with IPMs.

The role requires travel across SEE and internationally, with a hands-on entrepreneurial approach and strong English.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related field.
• Several years in pharma, fine chemical, or specialty chemical sales.
• Strong technical understanding of pharmaceutical synthesis and raw materials.
• Proven ability to grow existing accounts and develop profitable business opportunities.
• Proficient in MS Office and Salesforce CRM.
• Strong English; SEE languages or German are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sales & account development across SEE, growing existing customers.
• Identify cross- and upsell opportunities and drive margin growth.
• Map pharmaceutical synthesis market and win new business across SEE.
• Manage pipeline and CRM with clear priorities and follow-up.
• Maintain long-term relationships with customers and principals.
