Job summary

WLG in The Hague is seeking a support engineer for the software solutions its users depend on, diagnosing issues, configuring systems, and communicating needs to the development team. The role is on-site with a share of the immediate on-call rota.

You will troubleshoot across software, hardware and integrations, support day-to-day applications, and contribute to solution architecture while ensuring security and proper interfaces for cloud or on-prem deployments.

Qualifications

• Real diagnostic ability across software, hardware and integrations; debugging and log analysis habits.
• Experience of a cloud platform and working knowledge of APIs and basic integration techniques.
• Ability to coordinate resolutions across multiple teams and communicate effectively to stakeholders.
• Customer-facing background and ITIL training.
• Desirable: software design, Agile delivery, on-site installation in a military environment.

Responsibilities

• Resolve issues across software, hardware and integrations and get to root cause.
• Maintain applications daily, performance statistics, and deployment activity around releases.
• Contribute to solution architecture, weigh cost/performance/scalability, and document decisions.
• Specify cloud or on-prem components and interfaces with security in mind.
• Elicit and document requirements for well-bounded subject areas.
• Plan and track development work and inform stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call rotation for second-line support.
