Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Supply Planning Manager for a food 3PL project in the Netherlands. The role is on-site, full-time, 32/40h per week, with a 4-month contract and ASAP start. You will coordinate end-to-end planning, balance inventory and service, and collaborate with suppliers, procurement and logistics partners.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in FMCG planning, strong forecasting, Excel and BI skills, and fluent Dutch in a ZZP-friendly arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Finance or related.
• 5+ years in planning within the food/FMCG sector; prior 3PL/inbound/outbound logistics is a plus.
• Experience with forecasting, inventory management and financial planning.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI and planning tools.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; fluent in Dutch.
• ZZP registered and based in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

In this role as Supply Planning Manager food 3PL a.i you will:

• Coordinate end-to-end supply planning activities across a 3PL network.


• Develop and maintain supply plans aligned with demand forecasts, inventory targets and business objectives.


• Monitor inventory levels and proactively balance product availability, working capital and service performance.


• Act as the primary interface between planning teams, suppliers, procurement and logistics partners.


• Collaborate with procurement teams to support supplier performance and ensure smooth inbound product flows.


• Oversee logistics and distribution activities, ensuring agreed service levels and operational KPIs are achieved.


• Identify supply chain risks, capacity constraints and potential service disruptions, and implement mitigation plans.


• Lead inventory, replenishment and capacity planning processes to support business continuity.


• Drive alignment between demand planning, supply planning and operational execution.


• Analyze supply chain data and generate performance reports, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders.


• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, quality standards and operational procedures.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning processes, inventory management, logistics performance and stakeholder collaboration.

Requirements For The Supply Planning Manager Food 3PL A.i

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Finance or a related field.


• Proven experience in Merchandise Planning, Demand Planning, Category Analysis or a similar planning function.


• At least 5 years of experience in planning within the food/FMCG industry (experience with supermarket chains is an advantage). Given the requirements of this assignment, we are currently focusing exclusively on candidates with a proven background in the food industry. As a result, candidates from other sectors will not be prioritized in the current selection process.


• Experience managing 3PL operations in the retail/FMCG industry.


• Strong understanding of forecasting, budgeting, inventory management and financial planning.


• Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI and planning tools.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.


• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across commercial and operational functions.


• Ability to translate complex data into practical business recommendations.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Fluent in Dutch


• ZZP registered and based in the Netherlands
