Job summary

SIRE LIFE SCIENCES is seeking an experienced Material Planner to support a busy production facility in Maasdam during a six-month interim period. You will ensure availability of packaging materials, ingredients and chemicals, create planning schedules and coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

The role requires minimum 3 years planning experience, HBO/WO education, FMCG exposure, and proficiency with SAP ECC/APO/OMP. Fluent Dutch is mandatory; English is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in planning, preferably material planning or MRP planning
• HBO/WO education or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations
• Experience in manufacturing, production, logistics, or supply chain environments
• FMCG or food industry experience preferred
• Knowledge of planning systems such as SAP ECC, SAP APO, OMP or similar
• Strong stakeholder management and supplier communication skills
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and changing environment
• Hands on mentality and proactive approach
• Fluent Dutch language skills mandatory
• English language skills advantageous

Responsibilities

• Manage operational material planning for packaging materials, ingredients, and chemicals
• Create and maintain planning schedules across short term, medium term, and long term horizons
• Optimize material availability while balancing demand forecasts, inventory levels, supplier constraints, and production requirements
• Monitor stock levels and proactively mitigate supply risks
• Identify and resolve planning bottlenecks and operational challenges
• Coordinate closely with suppliers, procurement, production, and supply chain teams
• Support supplier onboarding and supplier transition activities
• Participate in production improvement, supply chain, and system implementation projects
• Contribute to new product introductions and operational change initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement of planning processes and procedures
• Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders across the factory and central support functions

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Material Planner to support a busy production facility during a period of significant operational change. This six month interim assignment combines material planning responsibilities with project support across supplier transitions, production line changes, system improvements, and operational initiatives.
