Job summary

TheCompany seeks a Supplier Planner to link Demand Planning with Manufacturing across 4–5 sites in the Netherlands. You will develop weekly production plans, balance demand with capacity, and proactively address changes in priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The role is temporary with a long-term extension possibility, offering a hybrid model with Fridays remote after onboarding and monthly travel to production sites in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain weekly production plans for multiple manufacturing sites.
• Balance demand forecasts, commercial requirements, and available production capacity to ensure effective supply planning.
• Anticipate and manage exceptional situations such as major promotional activities, seasonal demand peaks, and factory shutdowns.
• Collaborate closely with planners, production teams, and business support functions across several factories.
• Monitor supply performance, identify planning constraints, and propose practical solutions when production commitments are at risk.
• Act as a trusted business partner to manufacturing sites, challenging assumptions and contributing to continuous planning process improvements.
• Manage competing priorities and adapt quickly to changing business requirements.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships while confidently defending recommendations and planning decisions where necessary.
• Participate in site visits across manufacturing facilities in the Netherlands approximately once per month.

RoleDescription

As a Supplier Planner, you act as the key link between Demand Planning and Manufacturing operations. You are responsible for developing and managing production plans across 4 to 5 manufacturing sites, ensuring an optimal balance between customer demand, service levels, and factory efficiency. This is a highly dynamic planning environment where priorities can shift frequently. The role requires a proactive professional who can confidently challenge stakeholders, influence decision-making, and drive the most effective supply planning outcomes. You will be part of a team of eight colleagues based in the Netherlands and collaborate regularly with planning colleagues in Spain. This is a temporary position covering a long-term absence, with the possibility of extension.

Requirements

• HBO degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 1 to 5 years of relevant experience within supply planning, production planning, logistics, or supply chain operations.
• Experience with Slim4 (Slimstock) is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities.
• Strong affinity for working with data and translating insights into planning decisions.
• Experience with planning systems and supply chain tools is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Critical thinker who is comfortable challenging stakeholders and existing processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to balance customer service objectives with production efficiency requirements.
• Proactive, resilient, and able to perform effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Full-time position (40 hours per week); 36 hours per week is negotiable.
• Flexible working hours within standard office hours.
• Hybrid working model with the possibility to work from home on Fridays after completion of the onboarding period.
• Primarily office-based during the remainder of the workweek.
• Monthly travel to one or more production sites within the Netherlands is required.
