Job summary

This role combines people leadership with operational excellence. You will lead teams made up of both permanent and agency employees from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, helping to build engagement, maintain high service standards, and support a positive workplace culture. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and the ability to connect with people through different approaches and communication styles. You will work closely with fellow supervisors, operational leaders, and support functions to achieve customer expectations while driving continuous improvement and team development.

How You Will Contribute

• Lead and coordinate inbound warehouse operations to ensure productivity, quality, safety, and service targets are achieved.
• Manage, coach, and support a team of approximately 25 employees per shift, creating an environment where people feel valued, engaged, and supported to grow.

• Monitor and analyze KPIs, operational reports, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Utilize WMS, reporting tools, Microsoft Excel, and digital collaboration platforms to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Operations, HR, Planning, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
• Support employee development, succession planning, onboarding, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Take ownership of improvement opportunities, proactively identifying solutions and driving actions rather than waiting for direction.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, productivity, service levels, and employee engagement.
• Provide leadership coverage and operational support when required to ensure business continuity.

What You Will Bring

• Experience leading people within a warehouse, logistics, transport, distribution, manufacturing, or similar operational environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, coach, and adapt your approach to different individuals, teams, and cultural backgrounds.
• Experience working with operational KPIs, reporting tools, warehouse management systems, and Microsoft Excel to support performance management.
• A proactive mindset with the confidence to take initiative, solve problems, and drive improvements independently.
