Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Amsterdam is opening a new site and recruiting for Supervisors to help establish and grow the operation from the ground up. You will lead by example, develop your team and ensure safe, high-performing operations.

This role reports to the Operations Manager, has 40 hours weekly, and offers opportunities to influence ramp-up and career progression within a rapidly expanding organisation.

Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics, warehousing, or similar operations.
  • Proven leadership experience with team development.
  • Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
  • Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop your team to achieve operational and personal success.
  • Drive operational excellence through a structured and process-focused approach; utilise multiple systems for accurate, efficient operations.
  • Analyse and report on operational data, identifying trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor KPIs, productivity, and workload accuracy to ensure targets are met.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and the customer.
  • Maintain a broad operational perspective, balancing daily priorities with long-term objectives.
  • Champion a positive safety culture and promote compliance across the operation.
  • Identify, support, and implement Lean initiatives that improve efficiency and service delivery.

We are recruiting for three Supervisors to join our new Amsterdam site, supporting a leading technology customer. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing, growing, and developing the operation from the ground up. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting start-up phase, helping to shape the culture, processes, and performance of a new operation while delivering exceptional service for our customer. You'll lead by example, support your team to succeed, and contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and high-performing workplace.

What You'll Bring To GXO
  • Previous experience within logistics, warehousing, or a similar operational environment
  • Proven leadership experience with a passion for developing and motivating teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences
  • A customer-focused mindset and a collaborative way of working
  • Excellent reporting and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
  • Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are advantageous
  • Experience working with WMS platforms and/or strong Excel skills
  • The ability to remain organised, prioritise effectively, and perform in a fast-paced environment
