Qualifications

• Intermediate vocational education in retail logistics, SCM or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of managerial experience in logistics.

• Lean warehousing knowledge is desirable.
• Strong communication in Dutch and English.
• Able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
• Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
• Flexible to work shifts.

Do you have experience as a Team Leader within logistics? Are you passionate about motivating your team to perform at their best and ensuring top-notch service levels? If you’re ready to lead and make a difference, we have the perfect role for you at our amazing Almere site! As a Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the department with particular emphasis on managing warehouse associates and implementing warehouse plans. This really is a hands on role where you can ensure a slick and robust process to ensure customer satisfaction!

What do you do on a typical day?

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, providing ongoing feedback, training, and support to drive engagement and success.
• Deliver operational excellence by achieving KPIs, ensuring accuracy, productivity, and service quality across the operation.
• Plan and manage team resources effectively, including workload allocation, shift scheduling, and workforce planning.
• Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive working environment, proactively addressing employee relations matters and promoting a strong team culture.
• Support key operational initiatives and business start-ups, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
• Contribute to talent management activities, including recruitment, performance reviews, development planning, and succession planning.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer service and operational support.
• Maintain operational standards and process documentation, ensuring teams are trained and up to date on policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Champion health, safety, sustainability, and compliance, driving continuous improvement and supporting GXO's environmental and operational objectives.

What You Need To Succeed At GXO

• You have intermediate vocational education in retail Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• You have at least 3 years of experience in a managerial position within a logistics environment
• You are familiar with the MS Office package and WMS functionality
• LEAN Warehousing knowledge is desirable
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English are essential
• Be self-driven and resilient with the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Excellent reporting and presentation skills
• Flexibility to work shifts
