Job summary

Hotelschool The Hague is seeking an Educational Policy Advisor to join Education & Research Support. You will develop organisation-wide multi-year policy in education and organizational development, lead cross-functional policy processes and advise the Board of Directors.

You will monitor developments, translate them into policy proposals, align with WHW and other regulations, and build networks with national associations and government bodies. Fluent English and Dutch are expected.

Qualifications

• Broad and specialised knowledge of educational policy, educational quality, relevant regulations, legislation and current developments in higher education.
• Strong knowledge of the WHW and other relevant regulatory frameworks, with understanding of organisational, legal and financial implications.
• Able to analyse complex developments and translate them into clear, well-founded policy advice and options.
• Highly skilled in policy development, strategic writing and development of programmes, frameworks and policy instruments.
• A strong communicator able to advise and influence stakeholders at different levels.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring internal and external developments and translating them into policy proposals and scenarios.
• Developing organisation-wide multi-year policy and institutional documents for Board decision.
• Assessing and presenting legal, financial and organisational implications of policy options.
• Leading policy processes related to EER, Student Charter, regulations and compliance.
• Advising the Board and management on complex educational policy and quality matters.
• Building professional networks with national associations, government bodies and other HEIs.
