Job summary

Hotelschool The Hague seeks an Educational Policy Advisor to join the Education & Research Support department. The role focuses on organisation-wide policy development and strategic advice to senior management, navigating complex regulatory frameworks such as WHW, EER, and the Student Charter.

You will lead cross-functional policy processes and ensure policy coherence across programmes and governance. The position reports to the Manager E&RS and involves advising the Board, building networks

Responsibilities

• Monitoring internal and external developments, governance issues and translating these into coherent policy proposals and scenarios.
• Developing organisation-wide multi-year policy documents and preparing them for decision-making by the Board of Directors.
• Assessing and presenting the legal, financial and organisational implications of policy options.
• Leading integrated policy processes related to Education and Examination Regulations (EER), Student Charter, assessment regulations, WHW and compliance.
• Safeguarding coherence between policy and its review or adjustment when legislation or evaluations require.
• Advising the Board and management on complex educational policy and quality matters; balancing interests and perspectives.
• Identifying national political and legislative developments and advising on impact and scenarios.
• Building professional networks with national associations, government bodies and other higher education institutions.
• Representing Hotelschool The Hague in national forums and networks where appropriate.
• Acting as a subject-matter expert within HTH for complex educational policy questions.
• Collaborating with Educational Advisors on curriculum and accreditation-related matters where policy expertise is required.
• Creation of a quality assurance system.
