Job summary

g2 Recruitment is assisting a client in the Groningen region with a permanent Commercial Manager role. The position focuses on owning commercial operations, maximizing project profitability, managing risks, and supporting the wider business to deliver successful outcomes across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial management within construction or project-driven environments, strong contract management and procurement experience, and excellent stakeholder management

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience within commercial management, quantity surveying, contract management, or project commercial functions.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, cost management, forecasting, budgeting, and commercial risk management
• Experience managing client contracts and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
• Ability to oversee commercial performance across multiple projects and support project delivery teams
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• English speaking; EU nationality required

Responsibilities

• Oversee contract administration, cost reporting, change management, procurement activities, risk mitigation
• Ensure projects delivered in line with commercial objectives
• Manage the commercial function across large construction site environment
• Collaborate with operational and corporate teams to deliver successful outcomes
