Jobgether, on behalf of a partner, seeks a Staff Backend Software Engineer based in the Netherlands to build a mission-critical distributed transaction platform using Go and PostgreSQL, serving financial institutions worldwide. You’ll shape core architecture, improve scalability, and ensure data integrity, tenant isolation, and auditability in a regulated environment.

You’ll mentor engineers, collaborate with product, compliance, and customer teams, and own production systems end-to-end

Formación

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience delivering end-to-end projects.
• Strong distributed systems design with asynchronous processing and failure handling.
• Go experience or production experience with another statically typed backend language and willingness to ship Go code soon.
• Deep PostgreSQL knowledge including schema design, migrations, and multi-tenant data management.
• Cloud experience with AWS or GCP and Terraform; ability to troubleshoot using traces and logs.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain core components of a distributed transaction platform.
• Ensure data correctness, tenant isolation, and auditability, including during failures.
• Improve scalability and maintain predictable latency as volumes grow.
• Produce technical design docs and provide architectural reviews of proposals and code.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards; participate in on-call rotations.
