Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Go) for a fully remote role based in the Netherlands. Architect and build high-throughput backend services for an energy trading platform, leveraging AI-assisted tools and strong design principles.

You will mentor peers, translate complex requirements, and drive security, testing, and performance improvements across distributed systems. The role emphasizes TDD, CI/CD, and collaboration with product and frontend teams to deliver critical

Qualifications

• 10+ years backend development with architecture/design responsibility.
• Strong Go production-grade backend experience; Rust is a plus.
• Experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems and performance profiling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services prioritizing performance, reliability, and security.
• Review PRs from humans and AI agents to ensure quality and alignment with architecture.
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks for AI agents and developers.
• Mentor engineers and share best practices across the team.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend teams to deliver core functionality.
• Promote TDD and automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and optimize database schemas for relational and time-series workloads.
• Apply secure coding practices and address vulnerabilities per standards.
• Monitor latency, throughput, and resource usage for demanding workloads.
• Contribute to distributed system architecture and high-volume data processing.
