Stream is hiring a Staff Software Engineer (Backend) to own and evolve backend systems used by thousands of developers. You will work on chat, activity feeds, and real-time features, with a stack including Go, Python, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, and cloud tooling.

This is a full-time role based in Amsterdam, with visa relocation support, and we are open to hiring the right person remotely from the EU. You will ship code and own critical components in production.

Competenze

• Extensive backend engineering experience in production systems.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or another backend language with willingness to switch to Go.
• Experience building features used by many users and scaling them as usage grows.
• Strong experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and SQL.
• Hands-on with Redis or similar in‑memory stores.
• Experience building public APIs or SDKs used by developers.
• Comfort with infrastructure and database work, including Kubernetes.
• Good written and spoken English.
