Jobgether is seeking a Data API Engineer based in the Netherlands. You will work on a PostgreSQL-powered Data API used by developers worldwide, contributing to PostgREST, optimizing connectivity, and driving scalability in a globally distributed, async team.

You’ll tackle performance bottlenecks, improve observability, and help deliver a reliable, high-performance API while engaging with open-source communities and cross-functional partners.

Formación

• At least 3 years of professional experience with Haskell.
• Experience with C and systems-level programming.
• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL knowledge, including PL/pgSQL.
• Experience debugging in Linux environments.
• Contribution to open-source projects is a plus.
• Ability to support users and diagnose technical issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and own tasks in async environments.

Responsabilidades

• Improve database connectivity for the PostgreSQL driver (Hasql) to boost performance.
• Develop Data API capabilities and add new features for a scalable, multitenant API.
• Enhance reliability, diagnose root causes, and improve API stability and performance.
• Strengthen observability with monitoring and diagnostics.
• Handle incidents and escalated support requests to reduce recurrence.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to resolve integration issues.
