Job summary

DEKOM AG is seeking a Solutions Engineer to translate customer needs into modern workplace and collaboration solutions. You will design AV and Unified Communications environments that are scalable, supportable and ready for delivery, working with customers, Account Managers and partners.

You will lead technical discovery workshops, translate requirements into practical AV/UC solutions, design meeting spaces and present concepts to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in AV/UC or workplace technology.
• Experience translating customer requirements into feasible and commercially realistic solutions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms and Microsoft 365 dependencies.
• Experience conducting customer workshops, technical discovery sessions and solution presentations.
• Dutch (CEFR B2 or higher) and English (CEFR B2 or higher).
• Willingness to travel within the Netherlands, Belgium and occasionally internationally.
• Relevant technical education or equivalent professional experience in AV, IT, UC or solution engineering.

Responsibilities

What will I do?

As a Solutions Engineer, I play a key role in translating customer needs into modern workplace and collaboration solutions. I combine technical expertise, customer consulting and commercial awareness to design AV and Unified Communications environments that are scalable, supportable and ready for delivery. Working closely with customers, Account Managers, Technical Designers and technology partners, I help organizations improve the way people communicate and collaborate.

• I lead technical discovery workshops and identify business, user and technical requirements.
• I translate customer requirements into practical AV, UC and workplace technology solutions.
• I design high-level concepts for meeting rooms, boardrooms, training rooms, town halls and collaboration spaces.
• I present solution concepts, design choices and technical implications to customers and stakeholders.
• I support Account Managers with solution positioning, quotations, proposals and tenders.
• I define project scope, assumptions, dependencies and acceptance criteria.
• I work closely with Technical Designers and Engineers to transform approved concepts into detailed designs and Bills of Materials.
• I advise customers on Microsoft Teams Rooms, room-based collaboration, licensing, connectivity and service readiness.
• I stay up to date on workplace technology, collaboration platforms and industry developments.

What do I have to bring? My skills and experience:

Must-have requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in AV, Unified Communications, workplace technology, pre-sales engineering or solution architecture.
• Experience translating customer requirements into technically feasible and commercially realistic solutions.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms and Microsoft 365-related dependencies.
• Experience conducting customer workshops, technical discovery sessions and solution presentations.
• Dutch (CEFR B2 or higher) and English (CEFR B2 or higher).
• Willingness to travel within the Netherlands, Belgium and occasionally internationally.
• Relevant technical education or equivalent professional experience in AV, IT, UC or solution engineering.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (HBO) in IT, Engineering, Audiovisual Technology or a related field.
• Microsoft Teams Rooms, videoconferencing or manufacturer certifications.
• Q-SYS/QSC certification.
• Experience with enterprise customers, tenders and Statements of Work.
• Knowledge of Zoom, Google Meet or Teams Rooms Pro Management.
• French or another European language.
