Job summary

DEKOM AG seeks a hands-on AV/UC engineer to prepare, configure and test systems before installation at customer sites. You will identify issues early to help ensure first-time-right project delivery and meticulously document configurations and test results.

You will check equipment against designs, configure Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms and Cisco systems, update firmware and network settings, test devices, troubleshoot issues and prepare a clear handover for installation teams.

Qualifications

• Must-have: Practical experience in professional AV, Unified Communications, IT or systems integration.
• Knowledge of AV and UC configuration, testing and troubleshooting.
• Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DHCP and static IP addressing.
• Ability to read technical drawings and Bills of Materials.
• Professional English at B2 level or above.
• Willingness to work on site and travel within the Netherlands and Belgium.

I prepare, configure and test professional AV and Unified Communications systems before they are installed at customer sites. By identifying technical issues early, I help ensure efficient, first-time-right project delivery.

• I check equipment against technical designs and Bills of Materials.
• I configure AV and UC solutions, including Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms and Cisco systems.
• I update firmware, configure network settings and apply customer-specific configurations.
• I test cameras, microphones, speakers, displays, touch panels and room controls.
• I troubleshoot hardware, software, firmware and network issues.
• I document configurations, test results and device information.
• I prepare a clear technical handover for installation teams.

What do I have to bring? My skills and experience:

Must-have vereisten

• Practical experience in professional AV, Unified Communications, IT or systems integration.
• Knowledge of AV and UC configuration, testing and troubleshooting.
• Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DHCP and static IP addressing.

Pré's

• Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, Crestron, Extron or similar technologies.
• Relevant manufacturer certifications or AVIXA CTS.
• Professional working proficiency in Dutch.

I combine hands-on AV and IT experience with strong troubleshooting skills. A relevant technical qualification is helpful, but practical competence and experience are more important than a specific degree.
