Job summary

DEKOM AG in the Netherlands and Belgium is seeking an experienced AV/UC Engineer to take technical ownership of complex projects, from design review through commissioning and handover.

You will mentor colleagues, resolve integration challenges, review designs for quality, and support smooth handovers to the Service team, while contributing to technical standards.

This role requires travel within the region and collaboration across international teams.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in AV/UC engineering, integration and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of AV systems, DSP, control systems, networked AV, TCP/IP.
• MBO+/HBO-level technical education in AV, IT, Electronics, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional English language skills (CEFR B2 or higher).
• Willingness to travel regularly within the Netherlands and Belgium, with occasional international travel.

What will I do?

I take technical ownership of complex AV and Unified Communications projects, from design review through commissioning and handover.At DEKOM, I work on customer projects across the Netherlands and Belgium, combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership and mentoring. This role offers the opportunity to influence technical quality standards, support colleagues and help deliver reliable workplace technology solutions for our customers.

What do I have to bring? My skills and experience:

Must-Have Requirements

• Several years of experience in AV/UC engineering, integration and commissioning, ideally 5+ years.
• Strong knowledge of AV systems, DSP, control systems, networked AV, TCP/IP and troubleshooting.
• MBO+/HBO-level technical education in AV, IT, Electronics, Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Professional English language skills (CEFR B2 or higher).
• Willingness to travel regularly within the Netherlands and Belgium, with occasional international travel.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Professional Dutch language skills (CEFR B2 or higher).
• AVIXA CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D certifications.
• Manufacturer certifications such as Q-SYS, Crestron, Biamp, Extron, Cisco or Shure.
• Experience as a Senior Engineer, Technical Lead, mentor or escalation point.
• Experience in enterprise collaboration technologies, workplace technology or international AV projects.

I understand AV/UC architectures, audio and video signal flow, DSP, control systems, video distribution and networked AV environments. I can translate technical designs into reliable, fully commissioned solutions and work confidently across customer-facing project environments.
I am experienced in using Microsoft 365, AV/UC configuration and commissioning tools, technical documentation and network diagnostic tools. I combine technical expertise with a structured approach to problem solving and quality assurance.
