Solution Engineer
At Tibo Energy Management Software, we’re looking for a Solution Engineer who’s part tech‑wizard and part communicator, bridging the gap between complex EMS systems and customer clarity.
Responsibilities
- Own product demos to show how Tibo EMS solves real energy problems with clarity and impact.
- Join discovery & pre‑sales calls with sales or partner teams to assess technical fit, data, integration needs, and architecture.
- Design tailored EMS solutions including simulations, integrations, and setups depending on client needs.
- Answer technical questions, validate requirements, and help build proposals that are clear and free of techno‑babble.
- After discovery, prepare documentation, validate assumptions, support onboarding scope and simulation setup.
- Maintain deep product expertise on the EMS, forecasting engine, APIs, deployment scenarios, and stay up‑to‑date with improvements.
- Feed customer & market insights back to Product & Engineering to shape the roadmap.
Qualifications
- Experience in a customer‑facing technical or consulting role (Solution Engineering / Pre‑Sales / Energy Analysis).
- Understanding of SaaS, data, APIs, or energy systems (bonus: EMS, battery, PV, grid‑constraints).
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts simply to non‑tech stakeholders.
- Enjoy demos, customer interaction, and can stay calm under pressure.
- Structured and analytical thinking, able to translate requirements into clear next steps and documentation.
- Collaboration across product, engineering, and sales, influencing outcomes.
- Fluent Dutch and English.
What we stand for
- Ownership – run deals end‑to‑end with trust.
- Work hard, play hard – achieve quotas by day, bouldering, board games, drinks by night.
What we offer
- Opportunity to make the value of Tibo EMS tangible for customers.
- Hybrid work environment.
- Personal development budget.
- Stock Appreciation Rights (SARs).
- Comprehensive pension plan.
- Travel allowance, laptop, and unlimited Post‑its.
- Monthly team socials (escape rooms, backlog nights).
- Work in a company changing the future of energy.
- Diverse and inclusive team culture.
We’re committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences, and identities, even if you don’t tick every box in the requirements.
Our EMS helps businesses reduce CO₂, costs, and grid congestion, preparing them for the next phase of the energy transition: distributed, intelligent, and proactive energy networks.
