Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Freelance Foreman (ZZP) to lead site teams on civil infrastructure projects in Zevenbergen, South Netherlands. The role is a 12-month contract with 32-40 hours per week, on-site supervision, and strong emphasis on safety, quality, and planning.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in civil construction, be able to read technical drawings, and possess solid leadership and communication skills. Dutch language preferred for on-site coordination.

Qualifications

• MBO/HBO qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years' experience as Foreman/Site Supervisor in civil infrastructure.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Fluent Dutch preferred.
• Freelance/ZZP contract; 12-month duration.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate site teams on a daily basis.
• Coordinate labour, plant, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, quality standards, safety requirements, and programme milestones.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract requirements, translating them into practical site execution.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Work Preparers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Identify construction challenges and implement practical solutions to maintain productivity.
• Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and project requirements.
• Report on progress, site issues, and resource requirements.

Are you an experienced Foreman who enjoys leading teams on site, keeping projects running smoothly, and making sure quality, safety, and planning stay on track? We are seeking a Freelance Foreman (ZZP) to support major civil infrastructure projects in the Zevenbergen region on an initial 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate site teams on a daily basis.
• Coordinate labour, plant, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, quality standards, safety requirements, and programme milestones.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract requirements, translating them into practical site execution.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Work Preparers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Completed MBO or HBO qualification, preferably in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years' experience as a Foreman, Site Supervisor, or similar role within civil infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of civil construction methods and site operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders on active construction sites.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset with a practical approach to project delivery.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Fluent Dutch is preferred.
