Job summary

Organon is seeking an EHS compliance engineer within the Quality Control department to advance safety, health, and environmental standards across the site. You will develop and implement the annual SHE plan, lead investigations, and ensure regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement with IPS methods.

You will collaborate with production teams and SHE specialists to promote a safety-first culture, covering machine safety, ergonomics, hazardous substances, PPE, and related topics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technical, biopharmaceutical, or safety-related discipline.
• HVK Advanced Safety Engineering is preferred; completion may be part of the role.
• Minimum 5 years of SHE experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of Safety, GMP, and Lean principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual SHE plan in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Act as SHE SME, advising on machine safety, industrial hygiene, permits, hazardous substances, ergonomics, PPE, and related items.
• Conduct risk assessments (e.g., RI&E) and drive safety/environmental improvements.
• Maintain and improve SHE processes; lead IPS-based continuous improvement.
• Lead incident investigations with on-site assessment and root cause analysis.
• Participate in projects as a SHE knowledge expert; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Train, coach, and support employees on SHE requirements.
• Monitor SHE performance through KPIs and drive improvement actions.
• Represent the department during audits, inspections, and regulatory visits.
